1. Introduction
 

These General Terms and Conditions govern the rental and use of vehicles provided by SCANDI Luxe Ride Rentals, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking and using our vehicles, you (“Renter,” “Customer”) agree to comply with these terms.
 

2. Rental Eligibility
    ♦ Renters must be at least 25 years old and possess a valid driver’s license. 
    ♦ A clean driving record and proof of valid insurance may be required.
    ♦ Additional drivers must be approved and added to the rental agreement.
 

3. Booking and Payment
    ♦ All rentals require full payment or a deposit at the time of booking.
    ♦ Payment methods accepted: Credit/Debit Cards, Apple Pay, and other approved digital payments.
    ♦ Prices are subject to change based on demand, availability, and special requests.
 

4. Security Deposit
    ♦ A refundable security deposit is required before the rental period begins.
    ♦ Deposits are refunded upon return of the vehicle in the same condition, minus any deductions for damages, excessive wear, or policy violations.
 

5. Vehicle Use and Restrictions
    ♦ Vehicles must be used for lawful purposes only.
    ♦ Smoking, pets (unless pre-approved), and unauthorized modifications are strictly prohibited.
    ♦ Off-road use, racing, towing, or any high-risk driving activities are not allowed.
    ♦ Renters must return the vehicle with the agreed-upon fuel/charging level.
 

6. Mileage and Usage Limits
   ♦ Rentals include a specified mileage limit; exceeding this limit may result in additional fees.
   ♦ Electric vehicles must be returned with a minimum charge level as agreed upon in the rental terms.
 

7. Insurance and Liability
    ♦ Renters must maintain valid auto insurance covering rental vehicles.
    ♦ SCANDI Luxe Ride Rentals is not liable for damages caused by the renter’s negligence.
    ♦ Additional insurance coverage options may be available upon request.
 

8. Accidents, Damage, and Roadside Assistance
    ♦ Any damage, accidents, or incidents must be reported to us immediately.
    ♦ Renters are responsible for repair costs unless covered by insurance.
    ♦ Roadside assistance is available, but costs may apply depending on the situation.
 

9. Cancellation and Refund Policy
    ♦ Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the rental start date are eligible for a full refund.
    ♦ Cancellations within 48 hours of the rental period may result in a partial refund or credit towards a future booking.
    ♦ No-shows or last-minute cancellations are non-refundable.
 

10. Late Returns and Extensions
   ♦ Late returns without prior approval will incur a $150 hourly fee or $500 per day if the vehicle is not returned at the agreed-upon drop-off time.
  ♦ Extensions must be requested in advance and are subject to availability.
 

11. Termination of Rental Agreement
  ♦ We reserve the right to terminate a rental agreement due to policy violations, unsafe driving, or failure to comply with rental terms.
  ♦ Immediate repossession may occur if the vehicle is misused or payments are not honored.
 

12. Indemnification
Renters agree to indemnify and hold SCANDI Luxe Ride Rentals harmless from any liabilities, claims, damages, or

expenses arising from the use of our vehicles.
 

13. Dispute Resolution
  ♦ Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably.
  ♦ If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Virginia laws.
 

14. Amendments and Updates
SCANDI Luxe Ride Rentals reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website and apply to all future bookings.
 

15. Compliance with Virginia State Laws
  ♦ Record-Keeping: In accordance with Virginia Code § 46.2-108, we are required to maintain records of the identity of individuals to whom vehicles are rented, including the exact time periods of the rental. These records are public and open to inspection by any person damaged as to their person or property by the operation of the vehicle or by law enforcement personnel in the discharge of their duties.
  ♦ Rental Taxes and Fees: As mandated by Virginia law, a tax is levied upon the rental of motor vehicles in the state. This includes a 4% tax on the gross proceeds from the rental of any motor vehicle, with additional taxes applicable to daily rental vehicles. These taxes will be added to your rental charges as required.
 

16. Requirements for Foreign Drivers
  ♦ Driver’s License: Foreign renters must present a valid, unexpired driver’s license from their home country. If the license is not in English or does not use the Roman alphabet, an International Driving Permit (IDP) or an official translation is required.
  ♦ Passport: A valid passport matching the name on the driver’s license must be presented at the time of rental.
  ♦ Age Requirement: Foreign renters must meet the same age requirements as U.S. renters (at least 25 years old).
  ♦ Insurance: Foreign renters are required to provide proof of valid auto insurance that covers rental vehicles in the U.S. If unavailable, renters must purchase insurance through SCANDI Luxe Ride Rentals.
  ♦ Payment Method: A major credit card in the renter’s name is required for payment and security deposit purposes.
